Our Impact
Our first financial literacy class was held in 2011 at Interfaith House, a respite program that provides homeless individuals discharged from area hospitals with the medical care and shelter needed to continue healing. Since that time, we have empowered and helped more than 175 women, youth, and young adults gain the knowledge and confidence needed to take control of their financial lives. Through our use of the FDIC’s Money Smart curriculum and community-based instruction, our programs focus on core money management skills, building healthy banking relationships, and developing confidence in financial decision-making. As a result, participants leave our programs with practical skills they can apply immediately.
Our programs are delivered in trusted community spaces. Over the years, our outreach has expanded to include classes hosted at shelters, libraries, community centers, career development organizations, churches, and other nonprofit partners serving women and young adults—ensuring accessibility and real-world relevance for the populations we serve.
Recent Impact
Our most recent program, held in October 2025 in Hammond, Indiana, featured guest speaker Tiffany Allen, who led a powerful session focused on debt reduction, emergency savings, and income diversification. Participants described the experience as both motivating and transformational, leaving with actionable strategies and renewed confidence in their financial journey.
