Recent studies reveal that many American teens feel unprepared when it comes to managing money, with a large majority expressing a desire for more personal finance education. Significant knowledge gaps remain, as many young people are unfamiliar with concepts like 401(k) plans or the difference between credit and debit cards. While some financial lessons are introduced in schools, most teens report that they rely heavily on their parents for financial guidance. These findings highlight the urgent need for stronger financial literacy programs that equip youth with the skills to make informed choices and prepare for adulthood.

Foundation of HOPE, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2011, is dedicated to meeting this need through group-based workshops and partnerships that help individuals and families build assets, set goals, and create secure financial futures. [Get to Know How We Started]
